ON DLA and that is the only source of income, what other benefits should I claim

Hi
My mum is on the higher element of DLA. She is virtually bed ridden and has little mobility. After two long spells off work sick she has taken retirement. Her only source of income is her DLA and my dads guarenteed pension credit. Are they entitled to anything else? The social worker has just called regarding installing a walk in bath and he said she should be entitled to more benefits but how can you claim them if you don't know what to claim in the first place?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Yes there is a benefits check on here. It is in the Income/Family section (tabs above). Direct link is:

If your dad looks after your mum for over 35 hours a week then he can claim Carers' Allowance, I'm not sure about any other benefits. I would suggest that your dad, if possible, makes an appointment at the local Jobcentre as they have computer systems which will show exactly what he is entitled to, they will tell him exactly how to claim, and might even be able to make a claim there and then (depending on the benefit), which will speed up the process.0

It's worth contacting the benefits line for advice , and also her local council to see if she get get a council tax reduction/housing benefit.
How old are they both?

As her father is getting pension credit I would assume he is claiming a state pension.
You are not able to claim carers allowance and a state pension. It gives you an underlying entitlement but no extra cash.
