Problem with Natwest Student Account
Comments

Looks like the student account marker has not changed. Did you take in a letter from the Uni to say that you were in the 2nd year?
The letter must be addressed to your Natwest branch and confirm (usually) who you are, where you live, the course, and what year you are in. This should be an original and on letterheaded paper.Anything that I do say, is strictly my opinion

I didn't as I thought it had been sorted, but I certainly will do now.
Going to pop in tomorrow and speak to them, can get the letter on monday.0 -
Take a look at this pdf on their website http://www.natwest.com/personal/current-accounts/g6/terms.ashx. Page 55 clearly states that Student Account overdrafts are interest free and that if you cease to be a student then you will have to pay interest. Page 24 states that the Student Account is available to full time undergraduates and postgraduates.
Is there any reason they may have decided to charge you for your overdraft? The fact that you're still getting a railcard would suggest this is an error. Go in an ask again if you can get it sorted, print off the appropriate pages from that booklet and show them - if they're still not budging then ask to make a formal complaint.
Thank you... that was really helpful.
I shall be using that link as my ammunition.:money::D0
