has written a new article calling on prosecutions for senior management. It's well worth a read, introducing another wonderful metaphor into the English language:
Goldman isn't a pudgy housewife who broke her diet with a few Nilla Wafers between meals — it's an advanced-stage, 1,100-pound medical emergency who hasn't left his apartment in six years, and is found by paramedics buried up to his eyes in cupcake wrappers and pizza boxes.

In a stirring the pot kinda way, I did ask on another thread a question on bankers & their huge bonuses.
A significant number of the top banking jobs carry with them huge pay deals. Given that so many are on such a high wage, such as the RBS guy on a basic of £7.7 million, why on earth do we need to incentivise him with a bonus package to do his job? Surely the prospect of £7.7million should be incentive enough? It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
The whole way Goldman Sachs (and other's) have been set up is basically to benefit from one of the seven deadly sins..........GREED.
They have been spectacularly good at it so far, but I think their days are starting to become numbered 'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

WE don't. The board of directors - acting on behalf of the shareholders - do. It's up to them.
If you don't like it, become a shareholder directly and work to change it.0 -

Well strictly speaking the Government borrowed money on your behalf to buy most (80+%) of RBS so the Government can make the board to pretty much what it wants.0 -

What is platitude?
In fact, what is a corner?
It's when someone who complains a lot, tells people to stop complaining
