Travel Co. downgrading our hotel

What does the terms say in the brochure about "if we have to amend your holiday" that should tell you what you are entitled to - a hotel of the same star rating, equivalent etc. At least if you're armed with this info, may be easier to fight. Hope you enjoy your holiday whereever you end up.0

Unfortunately found that Terms state they can put customers in a hotel half a star below any booked and because it isn't classed as a full star below, then there's no compensation/arguement. However they go off brochure rating yet their website clearly has the hotel as a 3* not 3* plus. The meals package, full board is guaranteed. Also a room with a pool view was thrown in which would have cost and extra £48. This alternative hotel they offered seems fine according to online reviews so still looking forward to our holiday once again.
Now I know why holiday companies always have a couple of 3 and half to 5 and half star hotels in their brochures.
