so why consider buying there then

If you are just on the bandwagon, then
you will find a lot of negatives to buying in dubai.
Have you been? What was your opinon of it? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
not really planning on buying in Dubai,
More about working over there tax free for a couple of years then come back here with some cash in the bank after the aledged housing crash has happened.
I know very little about dubai to be honest, hence i'm asking for opinions about it, just seems like an alternative to renting in the UK or buying at the peak of the house crash.
Never had a chance to really go travelling before, so this could be an option, and it doesn't have to be Dubai, i would love to go to australia but i don't have enough money in the bank to do so.0 -
Ah I see

Well if you dont have enough money to get into oz, I doubt youd have enough money to buy a house and furnish it etc
I guess theres millions of places then- have you tried looking at the lonely planet message boards or payaway.com or gumtree.com as they have a lot of overseas work in thier travel sections.
I met a web designer when I was in dominican republic, he was employed "from home" in canada, so home was wherever his hammock and a wifi-connection was. One lucky guy

One of the few regrets I have is that I didn't try to work overseas when I was younger. Just come back from business trip overseas and v envious of all those doing just that.
There must be specialist web sites out there for your field - go for it!!!!!! If you earn great money you can pay off debts and save, even if money is not great you won't be any worse off then now!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
