Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

That's correct, run by a network of self employed distributors that would deliver to your house in their own vehicles.

@ jolfc - Did you used to order things from catalogues?

yes, one catalogue with a letter saying all paid off when I paid an arranged payment, it was freemans,

I sent this email to Robinson Way,

I am sending this e- mail in response to the two letters you have sent me. The first letter dated the 16/05/2011 was what you call a validation letter for an address of a flat that I have not lived in since approximately December 1997, I wrote to tell you this was the case and I have been at my present address for 14 years. I have print outs from the council with the dates I am on the electral roll on if required. I have now recieved a letter today stating that I owe yourselves £205.94. This alleged debt is not mine, I do not know what it is about and as I have had no letters concerning this alleged debt within the last 6 years,so it would therefore be unenforcable and statute barred even if it was mine, which it is not.I am therefore letting you know that I wish for you to stop contacting me about this alleged debt. I would appreciate a letter from yourselves to confirm that you realise this is not anything to do with me. I have emailed this information to Robinson Way so as I can retain a copy in my outbox as proof should I require it that I have responded to your letter and told you this alleged debt is not mine if I need to get in touch with any governing bodies about Robinson Way . I look forward to hearing from you to acknowledge my e- mail. I hope to hear from you within the next seven days with confirmation of my request.

They have sent me a letter today saying they have noted my dispute are going to make necessary enquiries and let me know the outcome, is this likely to be the end of the matter, I dont quite know what they mean by necessary enquiries, can anyone help, thanks in advance.:)

  • If they cannot prove you owe the money they can whistle for it! Send the "prove it" template letter.
