The hat is a bit ridiculous (though it seems she's dealt with it in a very good-humoured fashion), but anyone paying £50,000 is probably thinking of it more as a donation to charity than as an actual purchase- and anything that gets fifty thousand quid to UNICEF can only be a good thing really. Unless I'm wrong, and there really is someone out there who'd desperate to wear that hat at any price!0
