Ha ha... I had not seen this before!

Sorry guys, I've been busy (I'm studying again!)

It has been a while since I was in here... but honestly I had still been watching (probably missed a lot but) the standard of advice given out on here had been getting better and better... felt like i wasn't needed anymore! :(

Hope I haven't missed anything BIG!

(Not sure i appreciate IVAs and DROs being lumped in together... MSE never lets it's agenda drop does it!?)
Would you ask the wolves to look after the sheep?

  • Hi Charco

Have you got something against CCCS? As far as I was aware the IVA company have the lowest fees in the industry and do not charge anything unless it is approved and its then deducted from the surplus you pay in. Which means your not having to find money you don't have. Also as an IVA is a form of insolvency and it goes through the courts there has to be fees involved?

Not sure if you're saying I shouldn't go with them in all your other posts.

Hi Celeste. CCCS are okay in their own right (albeit a bit slow). Their fees are the same as most these days, as those fees are agreed by the creditors themselves. If the IVA company try to charge more the creditors tend to alter this at the creditors meeting.

Most reputable ( note .. reputable) firms don't charge unless approved and also deduct from the surplus paid in. So CCCS aren't special ( much as they would like you to believe they are).

Yes, IVA is a form of insolvency, but no longer goes through the courts as such. It is merely a binding contract drawn under the relevant legislation.
