New buyer taking on tenants with furniture query

The EA's has failed to get back to me on this and has not paid the deposit over to me also (i am abroad by the way and my son is taking care of things for me) but are holding onto it.
Whoa, the deposit belongs to the tenant and is there for deductions only if the tenant is in the wrong by causing damage or (possibly) failure to pay rent. It isn't a little piggy bank for you to dip into to obtain payment for your furniture. I am really glad to hear the agent hasn't handed the deposit over and if they are any good they should not.
The changing of landlords is going to be unsettling enough for the tenant as it is without your raiding their deposit. If the new buyer wants to buy your furniture he should do it with his own cash!0 -
finally exchanged and got zilch for the furniture - they knew they had me cornered - lucky to get sale though!0
