Orange 241

Options
my partner and I went to Odeon last night to watch a 3D film using our Orange Wednesday code, but when we got to the till, we were charged £2 for the second ticket, instead of getting it for free!

Is this a widespread new thing or does it depend on the cinema??

It sounds a bit like false advertising to me - its peddled as '2 for 1' when in fact it is 'buy one, get one for £2' !!!
I smile because I have no idea what is going on :o

The offer will only cover the cost of a standard priced ticket. An additional premium may be required for premium seating, 3D screenings, IMAX, VIP seats, premium seats, gold class, Extreme screen or other premium offers. Please contact your local cinema for confirmation.

Does ODEON participate in Orange Wednesday?
The Orange Wednesday offer is available at all ODEON Cinemas. To get two tickets for the price of one for most performances on Wednesday (only for Standard seating) - just show the code when purchasing your tickets from the Box Office.

Additional charges apply for 3D Glasses and, from the first half of 2011, we will be introducing additional fees for Premier seats, 3D and IMAX versions of films. Not applicable for Gallery, ODEON Plus, special screenings or where the paid ticket is obtained using ODEON Points. Please note that you cannot take advantage of the Orange Wednesday promotion when booking via odeon.co.uk or the Filmline.

Terms & Conditions and additional information on Orange Wednesday can be obtained from Orange's website. To visit, please click here.

Make that £2+the ridiculous price of a single ticket at the main cinemas these days +£2 3D surcharge on the original ticket

And lord help you if you fancy some food or drink while watching the film...
