does it have to be an o2 contract?

i dont live in london but will be down for a concert on monday and wouldnt mind getting summit done.
i have an o2 PAYG phone but had to get a replacement due to a mate dropping it in a pint so now it says 3 on the cover, would it still be worth going?

My phone is an O2 one, but the handset isn't network branded with an O2 logo on it. The phone was switched off when it was handled by anyone but me, so noone saw the screen say if it was on the O2 network or not. When I went it was towards the end of the day (shop closes at 8, i went in at around 7.20 and the etching guy was leaving at 7.30) so I don't know if i was rushed through as a "ahh what the heck", but I didn't see any clipboards or papers which would be registration or anything. None of my details were passed on, except when I picked my design and the guy asked me my (first) name so he could save the resized pic on his laptop.

I've got a friend trying with his phone tomorrow, will report back on how his attempt goes. Worth a go though, worst that can happen is you leave without it, but they may just wave you through happily.

The OH got his phone done today. He's on T-Mobile but when asked about O2 he just said he was on PAYG and they never checked.

He's really pleased with his design too :D (Sony E, so it's come up like dark grey lines on the black phone).

  • I went there today - a very nice girl did my neck and back massage and they give you free bottled water as well. Didn't have time for the phone tatoo as other people were waiting for theirs but the designs look really good so I'll have to pop in again. I think the offer is still available up to this weekend but could be longer.

Ideal for relaxing your feet whilst taking a breather doing your Christmas shopping :)
