Do you get off on this?

It's surely not too much to ask for English-speaking posters to know of the basic rules of spelling and grammar.

 hi i got a payday loan off minicredit about 3 mounth ago for £100 and did not repay it ..........

has anyone else had problems with this co

Interesting perspective that you're taking on this.....

I wonder if Minicredit would be reasonable is saying:

"We lent £100 to namarshall 3 months ago and he hasn't repaid it. Has anyone else had problems with this borrower?"

    ;)

Pessimists see a glass half empty :(
Engineers just see a glass twice the size it needed to be :D
  • And I just bet the people who did the borrowing weren't calling Minicredit scum right before they borrowed the money.

They say opposites attract but with this company and its "clients", I think that law has been broken.

If this ever went to court, the case would be called "Scumbag Loan Company Vs Shyster Non Payer"

No sympathy for any of them.

    Like a Minime debt collector?

Their loans start mini but grow into maxi so I bet the collectors get bigger and bigger until that vital £100 loan turns into £1000 :)

I suppose by that time you're just so glad you never took the loan out with Toothfairy.

Can't begin to imagine who they would send around, let alone what they would do to you!

Just to bring this back up - yep - along with about ten other of the least ethical, scummiest and !!!!-tactic extortionate payday loan lenders out there - Minicredit are a company I sadly am defaulting with. The good news for me is I will be bankrupt soon and will not be likely to lose any assets (I own very little of substance, and need my car/laptop as essentials for work and uni etc) or any pay (drink & drug problems leave my reported income with such a deficit no income will be taken)...

The reality that I think escapes the more overly moralistic of the people in this post who keep not realizing why there is a difference between minicredit going about business the way they do, and making their money with their profit margins the way they do - and between an individual that for one reason or another was in a desperate enough position (more than likely) to take out one of these products, which are in a lot of ways worse for some people than just getting a one or two off kicking from an actual backstreet shark - is that first of all this is a business trading under the authorization of various bodies, OFT and FSA just being two not to mention general trading laws and statute...

If a company chooses to make its money out of alcoholics, other drug addicts, already insolvent individuals, divorces, homelessness, desperacy, dispair and no doubt tactics that bring about suicide, and many of the previous anyway - then that is bad enough... i do not believe that even 5% (I'd love to do a good study into this) of the customers of minicredit use it properly, and minicredit RELY on people not using it properly, but not defaulting entirely... They make the most money from the intermediate range where people are very late, but eventually make payment.

They go through various deplorable tactics - whether the debtor signed a contract to this or not is totally irrelevant as to how ethical, fair or reasonable their tactics are - i could sign a contract saying somebody can punch me in the face - then when they do, have them charged and prosecuted for assault in the normal manner.

To people saying 'really its you that has the problem not minicredit' - wake up - yes, that's very responsible of an attitude if you really can't see the wood for the trees, but minicredit and their marketing and product is manufactured as such to cause this problem, encourage it, for example, automatic rollovers, a policy of not making outgoing calls to its debtors (they don't get on your case about it by anything other than statutory required e-mails until they've clocked up a nice bunch of fees, fines and additional costs which, all, are profitable, and inflate the overall amount on a CCJ to whatever they want it to.... its all been carefully calculated so that their contract contains terms that still allow a similar markup to their ridiculous APR... not as bad as the one million percent i had once but.. pretty bad).

These companies are !!!!!. Utter !!!!!. Banks are !!!!! in general - on mass ethically ignorant, inherently conservative, cosy clubbed upper class gambling addicts... but, these companies are simply devised to take the most vunerable people in society, and milk them for all they're worth, then let them rot in the gutter and be forgotten about.

So, next time somebody gets on their high horse about how people should not take out loans if they wont be able to pay them - either open your eyes, or maybe go get an interview for PR director at Minicredit, check the internal noticeboards ;) x

I hate Ryanair. I don't spend my time ranting about them, I just don't give my custom. Or perhaps you liked Minicredit when they were willing to lend you the money you wanted?
