carpet question? good quality for letting place

İ need recommendations for colours and types of carpets for a letting property that needs an upgrade!--the colour on the walls is cream throughout with brown or cream accented curtains--it a decent flat and i want it to max on the rent but i want the names of carpet products that will last and not need replacing after one let!--i dont fancy brown--i dont live in the uk but will be around in june and have no idea where are the best places to buy carpet--it cant be laminated out due to the lease restrictions.

Just get the cheap stuff. The good stuff will last ages and it'll be dated before it wears out. Get a dark colour so any spills don't show up. If you don't fancy brown then what do you think of dark blue or dark red shades.

i havea skyd blue down there now which came with the place many years ago--it has worn well-i dont know how expensive it was!---i like to keep things as neutral as possible so red is a bit positive!--might linger on another chance of blue because the existing one isnt too marked---it is thread bear around the edges!(got me thinking as to whether i should replace it now) it needs a good clean!
