Egg Money manager free £10

Options
I hope this is the right place for this post!
I have just gone to my Egg card statement via their notification email and the website says that if you sign up for the free Moneymanager service before 1st March they will credit your card with a '£10 reward'. Firstly, could anybody advise if the service is any good? Secondly, is this likely to be a straight credit or do you have to spend it somewhere particular?
Thanks

I signed up for it and used an old credit card account that I never use - as I don't want egg knowing my details ;)

The service is fine - you record your passwords with EGG and can log straight on to the other accounts without having to log in - if that makes sense! And the £10 was credited to my egg card a week ago so I am quite happy with it :)

Having just signed up for Egg, I noticed that they use the same software as First Direct, but display the results in a much less clear way.

First Direct display the results as a balance sheet, splitting the amounts into the various categories (savings, loans, etc) and also allow you to create virtual accounts for non-online accounts and other assets.

With the FD service, it also remembers the balances from the last time you updated, and you choose when to update. With Egg, it automatically updates when you log in.

You don't need to be a FD customer to use their service.

If you want a service that you can use from any PC (i.e. doesn't rely on downloading an ActiveX control to the PC), Citibank offer this as a service. Not as elegant or reliable as the FD and Egg versions, and not all the UK financial institutions are catered for, but can be handy. Again you don't need to be a Citibank customer.

I don't know if anyone else has already put this on, but if you sign up for Egg's Money Manager before 1st April, they will credit your account with £10.

You need to have either an egg card or an egg savings account first.

The Money Manager basically shows you the balance of your accounts in one place and you must add another bank's account/savings/loan/credit card to the Money Manager to get the free £10.

I'm assuming that you could close the Money Manager after a short period but it does say that the money will be credited in May so you will need to keep it open until then.

Sounds like an easy £10 to me! :)

Egg are offering £10 if you sign up for their money manager service and add an external account, this offer is for Savings and Credit Card customers, and they say they'll pay the money into one of your Egg accounts in May. Doesn't seem to be any obligation to actually use the service. Existing users of the service can also get the money if they add a new external account (you could always open one specially I suppose)
There must be a fair few Egg CC customers out there!
