Car wrapping / advertising on car

Hi everyone, A few years ago I saw article in the paper about having your car professionally 'wrapped' with advertising and getting paid for your normal driving. I'm just wondering if this still exists and if anyone has tried it?

I've registered to do this on a couple of websites but not heard anything in the year or so since registering.

Most of the sites are where you register and you never hear from them.

I think the concept works in the States but not in the UK.

If I were an advertiser I would want my ad on a taxi/van/lorry/bus that covers 50k+ per annum and not on your 10k private car.

I can't personally see that having your car wrapped in advertising will yield much in the way of money for you. It strikes me that the cost of wrapping a person's car in a company's logos could be better spent by the company by investing in more established and effective forms of advertising. :)

One of those things that sounds like a good idea but not worth the expense to setup and
    not good value for money.

£1300 +vat to advertise on 10 buses. That are on the road almost all day everyday.

£130 for 6 hours of advertising a day.
