Student discount on C2C trains?
Hi all
My 26 year old sister has started a full time MBA course in central london around tower bridge.
She has to travel everyday before 10am from Basildon to Fenchurch street. The any time day return fare costs her £11.80 which is a bit too much for her.
As she is in a full time course, she can buy a 16-25 railcard that gives 33% discount but only on fares above £12, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any other way I could advise her to cut down her daily travel costs.
Monthly travel passes hardly save her any money as she sometimes travels 4 days a week and the annual pass (pay 40 weeks for 52 travel) isn't great as the course breaks eat up all the savings..
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

What's the latest she can arrive at Fenchurch Street?0

Her arrival time at Fenchurch street varies depending on her classes, its generally around 9:15-9:30am but sometimes after 10 am as well.0

Well apart from a small saving to the offpeak day return on the days she can arrive later I can't think of any way of reducing the cost0

The only small saving i can see her making is to get a periodical season ticket for term time only. This may over lap by a day or two but you dont have to buy one for a month or a year.
Tell them when you want to end the ticket and they will calculate the price. There really is no other way unless she can get a coach in or somethingone of the famous 5
