When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Gooood morning...here we are again...rolling down to the weekend:T
Better post my list quickly as I'm still sat with no make up and wet hair...not a good look for work;)
Hope all well:D

Today:
  • check banking and move tax credits
  • check onepoll
  • packed lunch for dd2
  • lunch from home for me
  • dinner from plan - jacket pots and chicken/spag bol leftovers for dd1
  • enter daily comp
  • reading for uni
  • check ebay listings - get more stuff photographed to sell
Ok, that's my lot...best get a move on:rotfl:
Have a great day:A
I really need to sort out a new signature!

    Hello All,

Good luck with your second interview Pernicious.

Struggling a bit today. I got an email last night from one of my creditors saying they had sent people to the house yesterday evening (I was at my mother-in-law's at the time) due to my constant refusal to pay. I need to phone my DMC as apparently they have been accepting payments for months so I don't know what else needs to be done. I have a bit of a tummy bug and ideally would have worked from home today but I was nervous about being at the house incase they came back. This caused an argument with my OH as he thinks it's daft that I wouldn't stay at home (and he's probably right lol!).

Anyway, sorry for the moan! Here's my list:

    - phone DMC
    - check banking
    - loads of items closing on eBay today so keep an eye on that
    - drink tons of water
    - read more of the stopping smoking thread (am giving it serious thought)

    Have a good day all,

    Jules x

  • Hi everyone, long time no speak! Been hectic lately so not really had a chance to get on here... but I'm back now :D

Got some good news - I'm moving out finally! It's a room in a lovely big house, sharing with another girl my age and the guy that owns the house. Nice and cheap rent, all bills included and it's an amazing room. Really happy and excited to be moving! Also in my absence I've started Slimming World; only started yesterday but I'm feeling really positive about it and best of all I'm not feeling hungry:eek: which is amazing lol.

    Stuff I'll be doing today:-
    • LSD - Under £10 spend
    • Check emails
    • Make sure holiday gets authorized for my interview!
    • Check online banking
    • Update budget
    • Chaser letters to get pro-rata payments approved
    • Work as hard as I can even though there's not much on at work at the mo
    • Eat healthily and follow my diet plan
    • Go for a walk at lunch and after work for free exercise
    Happy Moneysaving lovelies!
    October Grocery Challenge - £67.18/£135
    Save up £500 - £0/£500
