Can a bad credit record be attached to an address?

Short answer is yes and no !
Data in relation to specific credit accounts and persons is not directly linked to an address once they are no longer resident, and all credit applications are in the large part based on the individual.
However CIFAS https://www.cifas.org.uk data IS linked to addresses, and not just individuals ( although the data can contain names)
If you have CIFAS flag / data on your file this can be dealt with, however the presence of a CIFAS flag (dependant on its category) is normally a positive thing as it is intended to protect individuals from both identity theft and fraudulent applications from a specific address. It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them :rolleyes:0 -
when I got my credit report I noticed that postcode can make a difference.... but how much I'm not sureI THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0
