Capital One refusing address change?!

Hi all,
I'm hoping you can give me some advice!
I was recently paid off, and before I knew about that, I had been in contact with Capital One about reducing my payments and gave them my work's address to send any reply to as any recorded delivery letters etc could be easily signed for there.
However, I was then paid off around a month later. Since then, Capital One have been sending all correspondence to my old employer, which is understandably annoying them. I have written to them twice telling them I no longer work there and to go back to using my registered address, but have received a reply saying they cannot accept it as my signature doesn't match what they have on file?! This is nonsense as my signature was on the letters giving them my work's address in the first place and they accepted that, yet now it's unacceptable!!
I'm writing them another letter and enclosing a copy of my passport. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice to get this sorted ASAP or if there's any legalities about them changing my address when I request it so I can put it in letter?
Everyone on the forums are always so knowledgeable so thought I'd ask!
Thanks in advance

Phone them and change your address. If you answer their security questions they should just do it.
Failing that write again. I once took 4 attempts to sign a credit card slip because the woman at the check out was being anal and was rejecting my signature on the slightest difference. It might just get through a second time.
If it still fails make a formal complaint.

I'm sending another letter today and will follow that up with a phone call x

Hi,
I changed my address with Capital One in 2009, they initially accepted the change and started sending post to my new address however after about a month post from Capital One started going to my old address (I had a redirection on at the time so was still receiving the post). I contacted Capital One numerous times and put in a complaint but they are still sending post to my old address. I have recently moved again and therefore have sent a letter to Capital One requesting they change my address, I am currently awaiting a response!
Good Luck0 -

Better off doing it the other way round... If you write, then phone, and on the phonecall they change the address, then writing was pointless!0 -
Can you not sign up on the Capital One website to manage your account online? I do this and found it very easy to change my address details.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
