Laptop recommendation please- what you got ?

Options
Hi I'm looking to buy a new laptop, please recommend me the best one which could be bought under £370.

I had toshiba A300D but the fan was making so much noise and had to replace it twice in 6 months.

Cheers

No such thing as a good laptop under £500 as you found out with your A300.

What are you talking? The A300D is a £500 laptop.

I have never paid much more than £300 for a laptop. ACER still working perfectly after daily use more than three years later.

    Toshibas eighteen months and counting....

I have seen many on here with much more expensive laptops, complaining of failure.

Many of those 'expensive' laptops are made for the brand name rather than the brand names manufacturing for themselves.

So I don't bother to waste my money on 'expensive' laptops.

what acer laptop have you got ? What do you think about HP G62-b18sa.

    Still waiting for more recommendation.
  • Ah, i see where some are coming from but i do think there are loads of decent lappies out there for under 500 quids! Acer are a decent make & do have some great low end laptops. Dell.... well.. dell dont - unsurprisingly! HP/Compaq have some solid enough units too. MSI are trying their darnest to pull up their proverbial socks and carve out a niche in a very crowded space. Essentially, most of the laptop manufaturers mostly use the same OEM's so you are getting the same hardware manufacturers but just different casing designs and additional addons. Personally i think acer are robust and well priced offering customers the most rounded offers in the market... but thats just little old me!
