If she's claiming LHA for a property she doesn't live in, report the family here http://campaigns.dwp.gov.uk/campaigns/benefit-thieves/

Oh God, I feel so sorry for you - why should you gamble your financial future because some reprobates live next door.

You've got two choices - put up with it for 8 more months or stand your ground and fight them.

I say - stay and fight!

Go to Environmental Health. They should give you a recording device so you can record the disturbances and take action.

Then go to your local police station and explain the situation. They are usually very understanding. If you feel you are under threat they may even provide you with certain numbers to call, alarms etc.

Contact this 'mother' - and I use that term in the loosest way - and tell her that unless she sorts her brood out, you'll be contacting a solicitor. (Even if you aren't). Ask a friend to witness this conversation - and tell the 'mother' that this person is acting as an official witness - ask someone at work to do it, someone with authority. That way she will know how serious you are.

Go back to the landlords and tell them that you are giving them a last warning to sort themselves out or you'll be phoning a solicitor and you'll also be going to your local paper (even if you don't but you could do!). If you don't want to - send me the details and I'll blooming do it!

Last of all - you are a teacher, right? So are you a memebr of the teaching union? Don't they have welfare officers and legal eagles who help members - especially if this is making it hard to do your job? Contact your union rep - you may be surprised!

Don't do anything like blare music out or anything against them - it'll harm your case.

PLEASE, PLEASE - Don't let these idiots bully you out of everything you have worked hard for. Sending hugs xx
