Hi Emma
There are quite a few free places to host your website but free normally means that visitors will get "pop-ups" and other advertising information when they visit your site - for example if you host with myspace and goecities etc.
If you have a broadband account at home, most ISP's allocate you a web address for example https://www.yourISP.com/yourusername with some web space.
If your ISP does this then you could buy a cheap domain from somewhere like 1and1.co.uk or uk2.net etc and cloak your address your isp gives you. These personal URL's only cost around 4 pounds for 2 years subscription.
Hope this helps

Thanks, I hadn't thought of that. I shall check with my boyfriend, and find out the details.

some ISPs offer only very basic hosting, if you want e-commerce or Frontpage extensions etc then you need to find a paid for hosting companyEx forum ambassador

You should also check out www.jamroll.net for free hosting. As well as basic web sites, you could also create a blog on there.Of course, I may just be talking b****cks!0
