            +1 for the Varadero.0

As already suggested a lot of nice 125cc bikes around. In a supermotard kind of style.
I has a Honda MTX125 when i was a learner. So much easier to.ride than a racing style bike like the Cagiva Mito and easier to handle than say a CG 125.
The best advice is look at all those mentioned inearlier posts and throw a leg over them.until you feel.comfy.
 I would buy a Honda, but i am biased.0

            A good choice.
Decent build quality and decent physical presence making it as safe as riding a bike can be.
Much better than some.silly commuter 125 or worse some.chinese thing from eBay!0

            I have a YZF-R125, I tried a CBR but it was tiny, and I'm only 5'10".0

            Thumbs up to the Varadero.
As said, sport bikes are not so comfortable riding around at low speeds. Lots of weight on the wrists and harder to see what's around you when you are hunched over in a racers crouch. I have a Ducati sportbike and a Yamaha dirt bike and the Yamaha is what I take to town.0

LOL im so indeciesive, im now going for the NINJA 250R
Yes its well over budget but its so nice - Yes i will pass my test before i buy it.
Insurance isnt that much over a 125.
I will sell my car to compensate or at least downgrade. From England - Live in Edinburgh and work as a bus driver0

i have had soooo many 50's and 125's , the yzfr125 is a 4 stroke so reliable but i found it boring and not the best in the corners , big bike with no wieght just not right , i would go for scrambler style ( im going for a yam dt125 ) as they are bigger , you can do more with them i.e off roading and they wont loose to much money , if you want superbike style then i would go for the yzfr there the best looking but like i said a bit boring0

Are you intending to move up to a bigger bike, when you pass?
 If so, why buy new?
£2,500 for a bike you will be getting rid of in 12 months :huh:0
