It's been a lovely day here, though quite breezy - a lovely day to dry washing
I was just thinking before, when Kit was on about Heaven, what it would be like to eat all those naughty things like chocolates, danish pastries, cakes, sweeties, etc and it not affect my weight - came to the conclusion that, although it would be great to eat them all, it would mean that I did not have to make any decisions as to whether to eat them, so would they taste quite the same? My conclusion was yes, they would taste the same BUT I would not have to exercise control and, somehow, that would make it too easy
Does that make sense? I'm not sure that it does, but what I mean is that it is a great feeling to lose weight and you would not have that feeling, that sense of achievement . . . . it would be too easy and life ain't meant to be easy
So, to your question, you and me are meant to battle with our weight, that is the way we were made . . . but we do have it in our power to change the way we are. That is, we CAN lose weight and reach a healthy weight BUT it will always be a battle to stay that weightYou just got to decide how much you want to lose weight I guess . . . . sometimes, it doesn't seem as important as others . . . . but . . . to give up is to give up on a dream and to give in
Being tempted ocassionally is OK, giving in ocassionally is OK, but giving up altogether? Not for me . . . . and I don't think it's for you either. I know it is hard but it is worthwhile, so cheat sometimes, but never give up petal - you, me, we can do it . . . it may take a long long time, but we will get there if we don't give up the dream
Boy, does that make me feel better :j :j
