I'm back and I'm full as we called to Morris0ns in P'boro and got a curry meal deal
My niece's hubbie dropped me off at 2.25 pm so I had plenty time to pick up my ticket from the machine, get through the barriers and then over the bridge to platform for London Kings Cross trains. It was very hard work getting over the bridge, which is slopes rather than steps thankfully, with my normal trolley back with holdall on top, a Mr T hessian shopper full of Mr 3Dogs' Easter eggs, paperwork, and bits from Mr T's DTD promotion plus my coat, as well as my shopper style shoulder bag which was a ton weight with my computer and cables for it - boy, was that difficult and I gladly took a seat in the right place for my carriage. I rang Mr 3Dogs just as the train on the platform pulled out and as I talked to him, I checked the electric signs for my train coming in next. But I suddenly thought, hang on, next train on this platform was to Reading???? Told Mr 3dogs I would have to check which platform my train was going out from, and when I did, I found it was the one back to back with the one I was waiting at, and that my train was already standing there, waiting, as it must have started from Newcastle. I said bye to Mr 3dogs and hauled my luggage across and onto that train, stowed my luggage in the rack and found my seat. The train pulled out about 5 minutes later
However, between Northalerton and York, the train stopped and an announcement was made that there was a points failure ahead of us on our line and they were waiting for engineers to arrive. 40 minutes later, we started off again, putting the train 40 mins late  I had quickly texted Mr 3Dogs when the delay happened but he was already on his way,as he had to go to the DVLA Office in P'boro on his way. He ended up sitting in the car outside the DVLA office for 30 mins listening to the radio, before coming to the station to meet me. I had to pass my luggage off the train to him and he could hardly manage it
Anyway, I was tired and Mr 3dogs was hungry so we called at Morris0ns for that curry and Mr 3Dogs prepared it while I unpacked, that was after he had taken the doggies out as I called in to see my injured friend for 15 minutes. I've just been through the mail from the past 6 weeks - Mr 3Dogs had opened some of it, but not all. Did I tell you that Mr 3Dogs had to call at the DVLA to pick up the tax disk for the van because the new one had not arrived after I renewed it online???? That is what he did today in P'boro, called in to DVLA to pick the tax disk up. Guess what was amongst the pile of mail on my laptop table? ................ yes, I think you've guessed it ...... one new tax disc which had been there for a couple of days . . . . . . he said that I had told him it came in a manilla envelope and this was in a white envelope . . . . . what I had actually said was 'I think it comes in a brown envelope, but I can't remember' ...... he said, it didn't say DVLA on the outside of the envelope, and I pointed out that that would be a sure fire way of advertising what was enclosed and it might 'go missing' in the postal system     So now I have to send that one back to them
Just settling down with a drink watching the footie play-off finals on TV - got to go see if anything need washed for tomorrow yet, when I can summon up the energy
Anyway, it is nice to be back, Mr 3Dogs is happy and he likes my new hair colour :j, the dogs were all over me when I came in, my injured friend gave me a big hug and told me how much she had missed me, and her little dog Misty went crazy when she saw me - it's nice to be homeMr 3Dogs 3-7-12
