Parents are leaving tomorrow afternoon. I have barely spoken to them they have worked really hard. I am so antisocial now. I can't cope when they are here. How nasty do i feel?

I feel mean but can't change how i feel. I think i am finally starting to have some anger about my childhood. They will be gone soon so it'll go. They know i dont pick up the phone for anyone so realise now it is not just them. I only talk to Steve now as i know he wont pick on me. I am 40 years old. How stupid do I sound????:(

There is a crazy seagull outside. Are you having a good day?

    Hiya Kit and Beanie too

Kit, this is all a process you have to go through - your Mum and Dad will understand that the 'balance of power' is changing and you are being more assertive and not such a doormat. They still love you and you still love them, it's just you both have issues which need to be addressed - as long as they know that you still love them and that it will all be better in the long term for everyone, once you have found 'your place'

You don't sound stupid at all SW. The parent child relationship is always a funny one. They have to start seeing you as a grown up- it is hard to do but they will get there. The converse is that parents also have to be there for their children-no matter what age...bit of a win win situation really.

You will get it sorted- a dripping tap will fill a bucket, so keep on saying it and acting how you want your relationship to be. Use some visualisation techniques to imagine yourself doing just that. x

I cooked a pork casserole in the slow cooker and we have just had some of that with s/world wedgies - yummy - and there is a portion left to freeze for Mr 3Dogs to have when I am away next

And I've been to Mr T's for an offer I saw online - I bought their Meal Deal getting a main course, side dish and dessert plus a bottle of wine for £10 see this thread for details - this is a good deal anyway, but, by getting Turner Road chardonay (or Merlot) if they have it in the wine aisle, I can put my receipt into T's price checker and get a voucher for £5.93 tomorrow being the difference between Mr T's £9.99 and Asda's £4.06 for the Turner Road - meaning that I get the meal deal with wine for £4.07 :j :j :j

For more details see this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3241700

Now I wouldn't normally buy this sort of deal as we don't eat that sort of food, but I chose the Chicken Breasts stuffed with cheese & ham, Moroccan Cous Cous and 2 x Strawberry Cheesecake, all from their finest Range. I have frozen the two stuffed chicken Breast (they are like kievs) separately so Mr 3Dogs can use them for 2 meals when I am away, will have the cous cous with some meat in it for a main meal for us, and we will have the cheesecakes on Tuesday lunchtime after we get back from getting weighed on Tuesday as our treat for the week. The wine, if Mr 3Dogs doesn't drink it when I am away, will stay in the booze cupboard for visitors as we don't really drink it much - we top half a glass of wine with diet cola when we have it, so a waste of a good wine really :p

[STRIKE]£10[/STRIKE] £4.07 well spent ....... oh, hang on .............. I used a DTD voucher to pay for it ;) ............... so I did not 'spend' anything ;);)

Anyhooo, I shall shut up. What's everyone been up to?

Wonder if Porge is ok. Hope he is resting.
