Yes, walks are good. I take the Hovel dog as well as walk on my own.
    xx
  • Petal can you join a library and get some nice books to read? you can read magazines for free it is a nice way to stay busy? usually there are Walking to Health Groups where you can go for an hour's walk every day it is all free and your local council or Dr's surgery should be able to connect you with them.

Walking to Health is a fantastic scheme. When i was really ill a few years ago i had to learn how to walk again as my muscles had wasted away. I walked like a granny and i was 32!!! and i met some lovely people and we had great walks at a gentle pace. It was good as it was cheery and you learnt lots and it was outside too in the sun so you stayed happy.

Children's books are great. Remember the Mr Men?

    And Captain Caveman?
