I went down to see Mam at 3.15 pm for an hour. She had been fine when brother had been down to see her at lunch time, but was shouting when I got there. Nurse said she'd been in to see to her a little before I got there and had closed her door to see if she would settle, but it had not worked. I made her a cuppa and gave her some biccies but she continued shouting on and off all the time I was there. She was shouting for my niece, my brother, and names I did not know - when I asked her, she didn't know who they were either
She was also yelling "I can't keep shouting like this" and "I can't go on being like this" which was distressing for her and me ....
However, she did settle a little before I left and I did not hear her shouting as I went up the corridor to the foyer, from where you can sometimes hear her as you arrive. She hasn't had one of those tablets for 2 nights so may need one tonight. My Sis is going down tomorrow lunchtime and I am going teatime, so we can just hope she is OK overnight

I usually find when SW is like that - her sugars are wonky and need regulating.0

Oh, I forgot to tell you something on Friday - I gave my BiL some US$ for his 60th birthday to use on their hols next year as I know they always buy dollars over the year to build up their spending money, and BiL put the cash that my brother gave him into the pot for their Blackpool trip next year as the girls absolutely love going there with them. However my niece and her hubby have bought them an Amsterdam Ferry trip going tomorrow, coming back Tuesday morning, which was a lovely surprise for them :j :j The used to do this North Sea ferry trip 2 or 3 times a year, but have not been for a year, with their financial position lately, which makes the trip extra special for them, and I thought it was a lovely pressie. My niece pointed out that this was a joint pressie for them, with my Sister's 60th coming in November too, and she'd booked and paid for their breakfasts on the ship too, whereaas they normally take a kettle and their own food to eat in their cabin. I am really pleased for them :j :j

Yes, I know that, and I know why you say have a banana, it's just your catch phrase now in my eyesI used to always say to Kit in these circumstances "have you checked your sugars hun?" but I like your "go and have a banana" better :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

SW, thanks to your mug-shot and 3Dogs I have now 'found' you on F/b. judging by your posts on here and elsewhere over the last few days, you could be mistaken for what we in Essex call a 'maltesa', brown hair, blonde brain.
3Dogs, I have added you as a f/b friend as well. Have been busy tonight.Never Knowingly Understood.
