evening all, am supposed to be studying....

ummm, in my life that would entail getting up at 6.30am but that is because I won't have ironed anything, so will need to do all that before getting DS out of bed and ready.

Ironing? What is it? Completely alien thing for me :rotfl:

Anyhoo. I have now an hour and 15 minutes to shower, do the potato salad and scoot off. I think I will boil the potatoes first while nagging DD.

we don't have a tumble dryer and all the clothes we own, you need to iron. I have tried to not iron, but control freak DH insists everything is ironed (except socks and underwear) and absolutely perfect. This is why he has problems.

Thanks Aesop - I did notice that one late last night/early this morning and plan to check on them today :T :T

I had a rotten night - actually the night before was the same - couldn't get comfy in Christine's bed and couldn't get to sleep - I even tried my neice's bed at 2 am but no good, though I may just try that from the start tonight. I had to come downstairs at 2 am till 3 am and had a hot chocolate and browsed the web. One problem is the bed itself somehow - we have a memory foam topper and it is lovely to get into, so comfy that's why Kit's bed is even more comfy as I think it is a memory foam mattress - bliss - but the mattress here just seems so different, and I can't find a comfy position

The other problem is my neice is a fanatic for smells nice one's that is and has air fresheners all over the house - and I have had a tight chest and been using my inhaler since I came :( so at 2 this morning I gathered them all up and put them in the little one's room and shut the door :p The house is much better for me when I came down this morning :D

Another problem is I brought my tablets/meds with me but not pain killers as I thought I had left enough when I was last here but it seems I must have taken them all home by mistake, so I only had one strip with me in my handbag which I carry for emergencies. I keep forgetting to ask Mr 3Dogs to send some down for me, so must check at brother's house this morning if I left any there, otherwise pinch some others from my sister. Of course this means that I have only enough to take 2 tablets each morning and, as things are, I need more which I will be able to do when I get some from somewhere :o

Right cat is fed and let out, and breakfast eaten, so time for quick shower and then off to check at brothers, then down to see mam for 12 - speak later

Kit, hope your day is going OK - you must be kernackered hun

Hope everyone has a good day x

:( 3Dogs. Can you ask the pharmacy for a repeat prescription? ie if you get your prescriptions at Boots, they would have a record of them.

sorry to hear about the beds. I am so tired wherever I go, I can sleep! LOL.

No Aesop, my doctors dispense from their our dispensary for people who live more than a mile from surgery, so I get all my meds direct from there. I should be able to get something from my sister later today hopefully - I just forget about it when I see her - silly really for something as important as this. After all, I realised the first morning and should have asked Mr 3Dogs to post mine up to me ......... but haven't done that even now. Of course it is Bank Hol on Monday so that would delay things even more. I'll text him from the home at lunch time :o:o

And of course ................. I am looking after a cat ....... I am fine with our dogs but can react with cats :o:o whereas my sister is OK with cats and reacts to dogs ........... so, as well as the air fresheners, the cat may have something to do with the tight chest :o Hopefully, now the main air fresheners are hidden I should feel better ........... if not ............ the cat has got to go   :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Must rush x

Mam was looking quite bright when I got there at 12.10 pm. The nurse, who was juat finishing feeding her lunch, told me that Mam had been awake all night shouting and also talking/playing with her polar bear and rabbit friends , so she would be tired later on. Mam started to talk to me straight away, some rubbish, but not all of it :) She ate her pudding and then had her cup of tea/biccies before having her meds, adn, other than when her nebuliser was on, she chatted - firstly as a secret whisper then later in a quiet but mostly understandable voice. She did also talk to someone else in the room no-one there ;) but mostly directly to me

My sister told me that it was last Fri/Sat night she was awake all night shouting too, so I thought it might be the fish ;);) :rotfl: :rotfl: Anyway, if it's the same as last weekend, she will be very sleepy tomorrow

I called to Tatco and then home, and then ............. PANIC ................. I couldn't find [STRIKE]Mr 3Dogs'[/STRIKE] my mobile ................    ...................... I emptied everything out of my handbag, looked in my jacket pockets, boot of the car, inside the car, another look in my handbag ......................................... no mobile :o:o:o:o My head was racing .............. what would Mr 3dogs say ............. what would everyone say .................... STUPID STUPID STUPID me

I rang the home and the nurse checked Mam's room and I had left it there :o:o phew, relief or what  anyway, it is now in the office and I will pick it up when I go back down shortly - in fact I am off now, as time is getting on

After the home, I am going up to N'cle station to pick up my brother from his trip away, then I'll have a natter to him, so will be later when I get back online

Pleased to hear about Mam, 3Dogs.

You may not believe in spirits/ghosts, but it maybe possible Mam is seeing someone and talking to them ? They may also be disturbing her at night.

You find no man, at all intellectual, who is willing to leave London. No, Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford - Samuel Johnson (1709 - 1784)
