Meh! Royal Mail Returned my parcel to me!

Hi All
I took a parcel sold on ebay to the PO the day before yesterday to post. It clearly said the recipients address on it in a large font, on the back I put a sender address sticker just in case. Today I've arrived home to find it posted back through my door with the days post! I can only assume that RM have got confused and thought the senders address is where it was meant to be going - even though it is tiny compared to the recipients address on the other side and that is also where the postage label is!!!
I've checked the address on google maps and can confirm that it is valid so that's not the reason for the return.
The postage sticker has not been stamped in any way....can I just put it back in a postbox and hope that they get it right this time?
Thanks

Always good to add "Return Address" or something on yours.

I've had the same thing happen to me a few years back. :P

Yes it does say 'Senders Address' on the top of the return label and it is only 1.5 inches by 1 inch on the return label.
The font on the other side is pt.28 so fairly big and just a plain white envelope

Same thing happened to me a few years ago. They sent it back to the return address printed on the packing tape.

I took it back to the post office counter explained what had happened and they put it back in the post free of charge.

never hurts, thats why i said use biro. as it doesnt block any of the address
noticed a lot of Indians when writing home would put the return address no the front left at the same size as the recipients.
so i would often get the letter the next day
so i would cross the senders address and send it on
dont know if its how they format the address at home

I work at the PO and I always put a cross through the senders address, no matter how big or small it is as seen this happen too many times!
