How much is it to go Bankrupt?

Hi,

Apparently, the BR fees are going up in June of this year.

How much will it cost me in total, to go Bankrupt after June of this year?

My sole income is Employment and Support Allowance.

Many Thanks,

Sim.

Take a look at this thread :) You may be exempt from the court fees; if so you need to submit for EX160 with your application.

    PS -

I'm applying to Npower's Trust Fund / Charis Grants for help with both my NPower Electric Arrears, and my Bankruptcy fees.

On second thoughts, I only really need to ask for help with the BR fees don't? (As the Electric debt will be written off with the BR anyway)

Have any of you guys been successful in applying to the NPower Trust Fund?

I've finished filling out the online form. Just need to get a letter from my GP, and get my CCCS budget scanned on now.

If they won't help, I've no idea how I'm going to raise the £525! :(

You have my sympathy, i had to borrow to go BR, i always thought it mad that it cost so much and how they expected individuals to find the money when the main reason we are going BR is that we cannot afford to live basically x

Sorry Simon, but it's currently £625 (£450 OR's deposit plus £175 Court fees), due to go up to £700 from 1 June this year as per Fermi's thread that Penelope linked to in post #2.

Eh? Sim appears to be planning to go bankrupt from June - he is on ESA so would only have to find the 525. He appears to have the correct amount - unless i've missed something?
