laminate floor moving

Hello!
I've got laminate floor in my bedroom that was fitted by the previous owner. It appears to be very good laminate - click fit and good thick pieces with thick underlay (can see end in cupboard) . It must have been fitted at least two and a half years ago but has started to move. The floor is very level - but what I mean is there are gaps between some pieces of laminate. These pieces can slide back into place again but more and more gaps are appearing. We are not concerned as the floor doesn't seem to be falling apart - just in the long term we may take the floor up and put a new one down. (we are planning to decorate the bedroom this summer) Any ideas why this has happened? Any suggestions for future laminate flooring and how to prevent this problem? I hope I've explained my problem!
thanks
catherine

All laminate floors are laid as 'floating floors' and should have a relevant gap around them, covered by beading or skirting to allow for expansion.

If as you say, the laminate planks are moving away from each other, then it would seem that the laminate may not be as good as you think and simply doesnt lock tightly or has had the locking mechanism broken. If you plan to replace the floor, make sure you shop around and get a quality floor that locks well such as quickstep 700/800 , suitable for a bedroom.

If you dont plan to change it then you may try and run some pva along the plank thats moved before you put it back into place, wipe away the excess glue. This should provide a quick fix.
