Great Basic Bank Account

I was struggling with getting a new bank account some 5 years or so ago,and took some advise form here which was.... to apply to Nat West for a savings account at the same time as applying for a basic account., I have to say i am more than happy:) with them generally! costs for returned DDM have been drastically reduced to £5 per time! obviously it's best not to go overdrawn butits been great - I woul highly recommend this account for any one with a BAD credit history - I had a mountain of CCJ's (8 from memory), and a poor payment record.... (i was an unfortunate director of a limited company, which went into liquidation) I stupidly used my own credit to pay off company creditors!! and ending of struggling for years..... pleased to say that i am on the other side of that now - lots of long hours and hard work - phew!!
