Payment Shield

Back in 2005 I bought PPI from payment shield to cover my mortgage payments.

At that time I had been under treatment for a brain tumour which I now think may mean that the policy was invalid.

No health questions were asked, do I have a claim for miss selling?

How was this bought? Was it advised or bought by yourself online or over the phone?

the policy would not be invalid, it just wont cover that particular condition.

health questions would not be asked on non-advised sales.

As said above, Paymentshield would not cover a pre-existing condition but they do cover other unrelated things.

Nope. Nothing you have said so far suggests mis-sale.

I only have a version of the policy document from last summer but page 5 has a section entitled "Important Notes".

    The first one says:
"This policy does not cover a medical condition or related symptoms you knew about at the
start date whether the condition had been diagnosed or not. This is known as a preexisting
    medical condition."

So you do not seem to be covered for the brain tumour but you would be covered for something else.
