overdrawn still but claiming.

Options
Hey all,

Don't know if anyone else has faced a similar situation but the account i want to claim from is overdrawn currently and I doubt the charges returned would cover the cost of the OD.

If i do win my charges back would the bank likely ask for all the money outstanding / remaining in the OD straight away?

cheers

ed

    Maybe, which bank is it?
  • halifax and natwest! :(

ihear natwest is a little more awkward than the other banks!

im obviously concerned that if they do give me my charges back that they'll close those accounts and leave me out of pocket. I have intentions of paying the (total: 2k) OD's off by the end of the month but i just want to make sure if i dont that they wont ask for it back straight away!

They will not ask for immediate repayment.

If they do want you to repay , it will most likely be after they have refunded your charges and then you should get 30 days notice or whatever is in your T&C's. As many claims take at least 2 months, you're looking at 3 months before you'd have to pay back.
