How Long Should It Take To Send The Final Bill?
I have just changed suppliers and am wondering how long it takes to arrange the final bill. I left EDF on the 18th April, they came that morning to read the meters ( I don't know why, I was told to give the final readings to the new supplier so I did that too) but I haven't had the final bill yet. They owe me about £40 - £50 on my direct Debit balance and I want it back!!

they'll be waiting for your new supplier to send them notification of the read to close your account with (the read new supplier will be opening with).0

csnann, the reason they came to read the meter when you were due to leave was probably because that is the time when they read the meters in your area. Nothing to do with the fact you were moving.0

It can take absolutely ages!0

When you say you 'left them' on 18th April, is that the date you started the switched or the date your new supplier says they will be supplying you from? You should get the final will about 3 weeks after the supply start date.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.
