British Gas wrote off my debts.
Since i moved into the new property in October 2010 they have rejected my requests to switch provider on the grounds that i owe them cash, when they rejected they kept billing me and the debt mounted up i owed them hundreds of pounds.
I was out of options, i had a payment plan set up which i was paying in full, on time, and i had a rep then bill me again another £50 on top of my final readings to them.
I was then threatened by debt collection agencies, and told my payment plan was cancelled.
I said then i had had enough of the mistakes they are making and i am taking legal action of my own, then i received a phone call from the head of complaints saying someone had come in behind her and for some reason decided to cancel my payment plan, and send me a brand new bill - and instead of court action please accept the apologies as well as a total wipe out of my debt of gas and electric, she was most helpful and i was glad they admitted their mistakes.
I am debt free from British Gas, to them peeps who helped me thanks, i managed to get it sorted out in the end and had 7 months of debt cleared.
Stick to your guns if you know your right about something, don't roll over and pay.
Thanks.
