A simple thank you from parents or children would go a long way for me. As previous posters have said we put in a huge amount of time and effort into our jobs, it would be nice if this was recognised occasionally. Many dollars can buy many peanuts!0

I'm a teacher. I would like some strong spirits, preferably gin or whiskey. Wine will do. I get cards but that's about it as I work in a secondary school. Although one Christmas, I got a Year 7 child's collection of Happy Meal Toys in a plastic bag. Bless!0

I bought some recycled stationary from https://www.eco-office-supplies.co.uk they have things starting at 25p i think -
Also for older childs teachers got one of the certificates from save the children - you can choose from a few things like buying seeds for a family or buy a goat that sort of thing. https://www.savethechildren.org.uk0 -
I was tongue in cheek about the wine and whiskey (wishful thinking really!). No, often whenever I've been brought anything I go a bit tearful as it's so unexpected. It IS nice to know you're appreciated and that not all the kids are horrible, but really, there is NO need at all. A little Christmas Card would be nice. I suspect primary schools are different though as they know their kids better...0

its a very overrated job as im finding out 2yrs in - im not expecting anything off the kids - dont bother buying anything, a card is more than enough0

I'm a teacher . A card would be plenty. A home made card would be fab. A card mentioning something positive I had offered the child that term would probably be treasured forever " Merry Christmas . Thank you for helping with the hard sums / making funny voices at story time / washing my knees when I fell over.."
If there has to be an object at all, what about a basket from poundland filled with £4 worth of fruit for the staff room to share ? Trust me every one is ravenous at break time , many don't have time for lunch and many female teachers are frequently on diets :-)Nothing in it, nothing in it but a ribbon round it .....0 -
I like wine, cash or vouchers.Blitzkreig Bob says Hi to those checking his validity!0

The poundshop had some lovely large decorated hard back note books - nice colours or classy black and white. I'm a teacher and would love those can't have too many - in fact I think I'll get one for my son's teacher. A diary (a large one) would be useful too.0

I was a T/A until i fell pregnant with my youngest, teachers do work long hours, but they never expect the prezzies,i have to say i always felt pressured into buying for my kids teachers, but its nice to show your appreciation of their hard work in teaching our kids. Take a look at https://www.soapsensations.co.uk for ideas, all items excluding 220g bath bombs and gift basket are £1 plus minimum delivery charge. Also you have to order through the email addy for savings0
