They should fine the Directors individually, or give them ASBOs, or bar them from being Directors.

:rotfl:I love this, it's so appropriate.

On a very bad day, this has cheered me up. :T
  • I'm currently doing doorstep selling for SSE and I can tell you that all sorts goes on! There is definitely a culture of people pushing it as far as they possibly can in order to get results. Paying people by results causes them to behave in ways that they wouldn't normally contemplate, they become corrupted, essentially.

What the company has been found guilty of is very minor compared to what goes on.

Mis-selling in the past has made people more sceptical. Salesmen are trying to get around this problem with more mis-selling.

A couple of weeks ago I got door-stepped by a guy with an Eon badge.
Immediately he told me that I could save £50 per quarter in Electricity.

After I asked him how he knew that, because he did not know which company I was with (apart fom Eon) there ensued a little bit of shouting. I gave him a flea in his ear and told him what he was doing was illegal and said to him not to come back, and close the gate after him.

How will that hurt them? They will just increase prices to their customers to pay the fine.
