Council Tax Benefit

Hi

I'm sorry these are such basic questions, but I've never applied for council tax benefit before.

When completing the income part of the HCTB1 form, are the amounts entered before or after income tax?

I bank online and so I don't get statements through the post anymore, are computer generated ones acceptable or do I need to contact my bank for them to supply statements?

my council takes statements printed from online banking as evidence, no problem. They calculate income on net figures I think.
