I wanna...Laptop for 7 year old daughter

My daughter is 7 1/2 and would love a girlie child's educational laptop for Christmas. I have seen a few that look her kind of thing (she is still into Barbie and likes Bratz) but am not sure which to go for. I was going to buy the Girl Fun Vtech laptop from Woolies as it looked a bargain at £19.99 but procrastinated so long, it is now sold out!! (That will teach me...)
If anyone has a daughter a similar age and could advise me which laptops to go for/avoid, I would be really grateful!
Thanks.

Isn't she a bit young for her own one? Obviously you wouldn't let her have the internet either

I know you can get pink ones, you'll have to do a search for one.

I think Hazel01 is after a childrens learning laptop, and not a £300/£500 laptop;) .

Yes, sorry, I mean one of the child's learning laptops, like the Barbie B-Book or the Bratz Diamondz laptop. Cost about £39 or so, but I'd like to get one for less! Anyone able to recommend a good one?
  • My daughter had the Barbie B book two years ago and its had alot of use, she was even on it last night and its still challenging for her (she is nearly 7 and a half too) The first set of batteries have only just run out which is amazing!

Now she is more into Bratz, I have bough the Bratz laptop for her for Christmas this year. She will have two similar things but they have different activities, the Brtaz one has a spanish tutor, I know she will love it!

So as they are similar, I would get the one with the character your daughter likes best. I got the Bratz one for £32.99 on sale in Argos

    Thats really helpful, Sarah, thankyou.
I will see which of the Bratz one or the Barbie one I can get cheapest but as you say the Bratz one is probably going to interest her longer as its aimed at slightly older children.

FANTASTIC! Thanks very much. It doesnt look to have as many activities as the ordinary Barbie B-Book laptop, but at that price I'm not complaining!!!

Wow! The owners of Play.com must read this thread!!!! Just looked at site and the very same laptop has gone up from £14.99 to £17.99 literally overnight!
