I'm in the process of changing Npower to Atlantic.
Shouldn't be a problem with debit balance as they should take outstanding amount through bank account - assuming you pay by DD.
however I think the process is very slow. I completed form on Uswitch on 16 November and still no letter from atlantic. can't justify the delay really.
I've gone for them on price alone, service seems average.0 -

I've switched from Powergen to Atlantic a few months ago. First impressions are that they are pretty good. Customer services seemed ok, and fairly knowlegable, the bill is 100 times easier to read than Powergens, plus you get a small discount off your next bill if you pay your current one within a week or so of receiving it! :money:
So far so good for me........:j0 -
Depends, if you didn't have any balance outstanding when you started paying by card and you have always kept to the payments, then they shouldn't object. However they will expect you to pay the balance off in full when the account is closed, if you can't pay it off within 3 months they will usually transfer it to a recovery agency.0

can u tell me how long u get to pay outstanding debt cos someone told me u have 12 weeks then brit gas said they want it immediately. r there any hidden "extras" with atlantic?Just to win anything would be great!!0

The final bill is due immediately on receipt. However if you call their debt collections department (08459555213) they will usually let you do three installments, unless you have recently broken your payment scheme in which case they sometimes refuse. Failing that the debt gets transferred to their central recoveries team, they are the last stop before it goes to an external debt collection agency.0
