Can i do this with a Credit Card?

I've received a sudden and unexpected bill which needs to be paid on Friday.
Unfortunately the final payment date is several days before i get paid (Tuesday) and there won't be sufficient funds to cover it - However I have my credit card which has an available balance of over £700, Am I able to make a payment to myself - From the credit card to my bank or paypal and transfer it straight away to the bank??
I've contacted the company who are saying it must be bank funded and there can be no payment extension due to it being computerised to request payments on a specific date.
Am a bit stuck and don't want both a missed payment fee and a charge for the unpaid D/D
Any advice?

Obviously you will pay interest on it but you could always withdraw cash at an ATM from the card and pay it into your account.:dance:Quidco Payments In 2011 - £724.21

Depends on the card issuer. MBNA (for example) cards allow this. Do a search for "super balance transfer".
As a last resort you could consider a cash withdrawal from an ATM and pay the money into your current account. This could temporarily put a blip on how companies perceive your creditworthiness.
I suspect that PayPal T&Cs may frown on your (ab)using their system.
Whatever you do is likely to cost you one way or another. Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??
