I have a 'Maxell LTO Ultrium 2 Data Cartridge' - can anyone tell me what it is and what it does.
I'm also wondering why it says 200GB in white and then 400GB in yellow on the front? Surely it's one or the other?
Words of one syllable please - I'm a complete techno luddite

Its a backup tape and the 200 is the storage capacity and I suppose the 400 is with compression.
Throw it away unless it contains sensitive Government agency data then sell it to the News of the World and retire.0 -
No, it's brand new and still in the packaging - is it no use then?0

not without a tape drive!!
