It would appear that I have a stalker, .not from this thread, you are all far too civilised. :rotfl:
I have reported them. However I may get banned for my trouble, so I thought I would let you know in case you thought I had abandoned you all.

I may well be off to MMM's forum, I really don't like this.
It's very US-centric, though, isn't it? There's the odd non-US person posting on there, but in the bits I've looked in it seems to be very US. I've never joined, I just sometimes look in there to fill in the increasing gaps between his posts.
I wondered what you were all on about, reading posts about how awful the new forum style looked while thinking "doesn't look any different to me." I get fed up when some of these forums change style, but often it's the underlying platform that it runs on that forces the change, along with a need to be suitable for different screen sizes, tablets etc. As I currently use XP and IE8, that leads to me having to switch to Chrome for some sites as they eventually stop working properly in IE.0 -
How do you know someone's stalking you LL and why on earth would they ban you. They better not as you are always giving out great advice
and you'd be sorely missed.
I was wondering what everyone did to make extra money, to help on their way to becoming millionaires. I am always trying out new things, but never seem to get very far. I have made miniature bears, but the money I got for them made it not worth the effort, except on the Queen's jubilee year, where I made a small fortune making red, white and blue bears. The Olympic games helped too, when I made bears with 5 different colours. I also had problems with the tiny fibres that came off the fabric. I have asthma, so inhaling the fibres made me cough and get breathless. I did try wearing a mask, but just felt claustrophobic.
I have made jewellery and was lucky enough to make quite a bit of cash making both The Hunger Games and Fifty Shades of Grey bracelets and necklaces.
When the excitement was over though, the selling fell flat too.
I have also collected driftwood from local beaches and sold it to other crafts people. I did make a few things myself, but found it very time consuming.
Right now I am working alongside my daughter making decorations and jewellery based on characters from games and movies i.e. Minecraft, Pokemon, Legend of Zelda. We make them using Hama beads, which is great fun. I also make things out of Fimo polymer clay and we're selling them on ebay and have started a Facebook page. We only started 10 days ago and have sold 5 items on ebay, but nothing on facebook yet.
I am not sure how people manage to sell on facebook. I have been going around liking other business pages and they are liking mine, but we're not buying from each other.
Does anyone here run a facebook business?
This afternoon, I will be helping my son sew seeds for bedding plants. We are halving all the costs and profits, so we'll see how that goes. We did try it last year for the first time, but planted them a bit too early and by the time we could put them outside, they were too tall and stringy. We only just broke even.
My son actually started a gardening business last August, which was late, but he did manage to get a few regular customers. This year he is already getting phone calls and has started working, so hopefully he will have a good year.
One day I will have to find something to stick with, I do get bored very easily and have a restless mind. Hopefully property letting will be the one.
I'd better sign off for now and make some lunchMortgage Free in 3-T2 : Started at £151,000 Nov. 2009 Mortgage Free Oct 1st 2015

The things on mse that have made me most money are:
- bingo, when the free offers were all the rage. Really easy money.
- matched betting - more work, but at least you're just sat in front of a computer for a couple of hours.
- mystery shopping - horrendous amount of time needed, but my record income one month was £171 - not bad!Right now I am working alongside my daughter making decorations and jewellery based on characters from games and movies i.e. Minecraft, Pokemon, Legend of Zelda. Offhand, what I'd suggest is that you learn to take photos of your craftwork, and sell the photos as cards, or images for use on other things - mugs, mousemats, t shirts, whatever. Thats scaleable, but selling piece by piece just isn't. I realised it a while ago - I went to a county-based Craft Guild shop, and there were beautifully produced blank cards selling for £1.70 of a six square foot embroidery, it was gorgeous. The *original* embroidery was for sale at £320!
I also suggest you find a way of getting your costs down of your raw materials - jumble sales, car boots for material, high-res digital photos of backgrounds with your existing camera, that sort of thing. Salt dough figures would be cheapOne day I will have to find something to stick with, I do get bored very easily and have a restless mind. Thanks KC for all the advice, I especially like the idea of making my craft items seasonal. I would have to look into the photography part, as I am not good at taking photos and I have a rubbish camera, so would have to invest some money.
I have also had every freebie I could get on bingo sites. I used to go through topcashback and join all the bingo and betting sites and get their freebies. I also clicked for cash, but that was pretty soul destroying, getting a penny or two a click. I have tried matched betting twice and made around £1800 altogether, but I found myself attracted to gambling and lost a few hundred, so gave it up for goodMortgage Free in 3-T2 : Started at £151,000 Nov. 2009 Mortgage Free Oct 1st 2015

Ooh, yes, if you're tempted towards actual *gambling*, you're right to knock it on the head!
My camera takes 4MB photos, and its entry level - only cost £40 a year ago; you obviously have a good eye, and the *photos* don't cost anything as long as you just download them to your computer and don't actually develop them2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

If you run a craft business as the basis for selling images, you can seasonalise them easily - Pokemon-type figure with a Christmas hat on, or holding an Easter egg, having a surfing lesson, all sorts of things
In a similar vein, there's a very, very good book called The Curve: From !!!!!!!!!!s into Superfans: The Future of Business by Nicholas Lovell which is exactly about this kind of thing - think of it like a pyramid. Say you're a photographer and you've put together a book of photographs. At the bottom level of the pyramid are the !!!!!!!!!!s. They won't spend any money, but like you enough that if you took one of your photos, put some text on it and stuck it on Facebook or put up an offer for a free download of one low-resolution pic for use as desktop wallpaper/phone background, they'd share it with their friends. The next level up would spend maybe £10 or so to buy the book. The next level up again would spend maybe £70-£80 to buy a limited edition print of one of the pictures with a signed copy of the book and so on and so forth until you get to the superfan level, where someone is prepared to pay hundreds or thousands for a one-to-one tuition session.
