In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. The "rule" about capital is just politeness. capital are considered SHOUTING and should nly be used for emphasis.
regarding your problems:
1. HB will tell you how much they've paid for the total period you were in the property (was it paid direct to LL / Letting agent?)
add that to the amount you've paid to see if you're due some £££ back.
2. The deductions from your deposit need to be fully itemised in writing - if they only itemise £100 of work then there's some money due back for a start.
The other stuff, once fully itemised, can be challenged - all depends on what they say needed doing, whether there was an inventory and how much they are asking for. get that info and post back a reply with updates.0
