Advisor Discretion Fund

I've been unemployed since end of March.
Had a "Review" (already!) at Jobcentre. Things have been tough as I've had interviews for work and the average cost of travelling to these interviews is almost £7 daily (I live in zone 4, London). Anyway, I digress....
I asked an Advisor about the "Advisor Discretion Fund" and was told that it no longer exists. The Advisor told me that too many people used it and as a result, it has been stopped.
When I asked about Travel To Interview Scheme (help with paying for fares), was told that financial help for this was limited to a few interviews only. Of course, to qualify, I'd need to prove I had an interview, prove I had attended the interview and have proven feedback from prospective employer.
The changes are rolling out in the Benefits system. I can't wait to get back to work.

Interesting, my understanding was the Travel to Interview scheme has been axed and the ADF has been tightened (or perhaps another fudn replacing ADF if thats axed also) but with a view that such pot of money could be used for interview travel in certain circumstances.0
