this is why its confusing - so self directed support within MH is different to direct payments from social services?
i am having an assessment from MH recovery team as i have requested direct payments. i contacted SS for an inital assessment and they intstructed MH to undertake the assessment. So if i do meet the criteria, it would be for SDS and not direct payments.0 -

As I said earlier, a lot of these terms appear to be used indiscriminately. I believe In Control are the people who first came up with the concept of Self Directed Support so it's not a bad place to start.
