Hi I have rang tax credits today as I wanted to change my child tax ..instead of going into post office account want it to go into bank.
Changed them ok told me that would receive a new award notice, was wondering how long they would take to change over and why would I need a new award ? Lol it's only change of bank details
Also my cousin was here when I changed them all over and she told me that because I have done a change in circumstance then I will get an extra payment ?? How is this right lol I don't understand I only got paid today so surely won't get an extra too .

When you make a change of circumstances to the tax credit office the system seems to spit you out an extra payment. It will, however, reduce your payments throughtout the year. For example (doing it using easy figures)
You get £52 per week and the aystem gives you an extra £52 payment, it will reduce subsequent payments by £1 per week (if there was still 52 weeks left in the year) x0
