HBOS new online banking actually factually PANTS!!

Posted before saying I quite liked it.

Now I do not.

I follow the good interest rates so have a number of open (dormant) accounts with 56p here and 4p there sort of thing.

I added them all in an attempt to rationalise things and take advantage of their new Guaranteed Saver Reward a/c.

Now I can't get these redundant a/cs off my home screen!

Not even online helpdesk will do this any more!

Those stupid purple piggy banks are messing up my online banking!

The only way to get rid is to close.

Surely not everybody wants every single account up there in all it's glory for anyone who happens to be passing to see!

Good luck with trying to close an account with Halifax. It use to be easy, one online click. Now you have to phone; did this 3 weeks ago for a redundant account and they still haven't closed it.

Not as easy as you might think as above post suggests.

Called phonebanking. Referred to branch. Went to branch. Referred to phonebanking!

Used to love HBOS - cooling off a bit now!
